I recently was dozing off when a quick flash from the Spirit actually
awakened me...it happened so quickly, I almost missed it. But it
caused me to abruptly sit up and pay attention.
In the vision, I, with some others, was sitting at our rather large,
wooden dining table. Not all of the chairs were filled. But before us
was just the bare table. No tablecloth, no settings, no food...just bare.
I was suddenly aware of the the Presence of one standing just to my right
behind my shoulder. Intuitively, I responded by pushing myself away
from the table to get out of the way because I knew something was
going to happen. The expectancy was so great that it actually took
my breath, much like the original awakening.
I didn't turn to look, but then I saw the forearm of the Presence, with a
towel folded over it much like the picture of a "server" in a nice
restaurant. Then, the person (Presence), with both hands, unfolded
& waved up into the air a white tablecloth, letting it gradually float down
onto the table. I instantly "got the message." The Lord, by the
servant helper Holy Spirit, was going to "prepare a table" - set it
before us.
At that time, the scripture from Ps 78:19 came to me......the Children
of Israel were questioning....."Can God furnish a table in the
wilderness?"
The parallels seemed clear.....sitting at a bare table would look
somewhat like a "wilderness".....an "apparent" lack of provision &
presence. The word table means "provision" or "what is provided."
So the Lord was clearly speaking that indeed, He was preparing a
table before us in the wilderness.
But then the Spirit spoke to me and said, "The VISION - IS the
PROVISION." The VISION - that He is preparing & setting before us
is what HE sees & has planned from eternity that the Body of Christ,
the CHURCH, would become, look like & do in this space of time on
earth.
If we will "come and dine" - because "all things are ready" - we will
begin to see what He sees - & will run in the strength of that revealing.
We will forget the things behind us and embrace our present destiny
prepared and ordained before the foundation of the world.
