When the Tallmans established their ministry in 1978, they had a missionary from Mexico, Terry Mize, speak at their church.  While spending time getting acquainted, Terry jokingly said, "You don't really know demons until you visit another country - demons in America are just those who couldn't make it on the mission field."

As Pastor Don had a little experience in the area of demons, that was a challenge that brought a response..."Ok, next time you go to Mexico, I'm going with you.  When are you going?"  He was taken back by the fact that Terry was going again in 3 months.  If you know anything about this kind of thing, you know that isn't much time to prepare, especiallly if you had never gone on a mission trip before.

Nevertheless, the commitment had been made and would be kept.  Being very young and in the process of founding a new ministry, the Talllmans thought it would be an accomplishment if they could scrape up enough funds in that short time for 1 mission trip in their lifetime.  However, the missionary spoke prophetic words over them, which after many years, continue to be fulfilled.

He said, "Once you go, if the Lord wants you to keep going, He will provide."  And that has been an understatement.

While founding their base ministry, Tri State Faith Center, and through the years helping to pioneer several other churches and Christian schools, the Tallmans have consistently and continually traveled to over 20 nations to minister and train pastors and workers in the Word.
